Eva and Daniel decided early on that their wedding would be for the two of them. They chose an alpine lake, a sunrise start, and a full day of walking, talking, and simply being together.

We met in the dark at the trailhead, headlamps on and coffee in hand. By the time we reached the water, the first light was turning the peaks pink.
They read their vows from folded notes, voices quiet against the wind. Afterwards they sat on the rocks for a long time without saying much, which turned out to be one of the most moving moments of the day.
The rest of the day was unhurried: a picnic by the lake, a nap in the grass, and a slow walk back down as the clouds rolled in. It was a wedding with no audience, and it felt complete.
